Connecting Rod Options
All rod options are overbuilt for their class — any of them will outperform the factory rod significantly. Choose based on your power goals and budget:
-
Eagle H Beam — 750 HP Rated | ARP 2000 Hardware
4340 chromoly steel, proven H-beam design. Excellent strength-to-weight ratio for high-boost street and track builds. A trusted industry standard. -
Manley Turbo Tuff H Beam — 750 HP Rated | ARP 2000 Hardware
Premium 4340 chromoly H-beam from Manley, built to Turbo Tuff standards. A step up in quality and consistency over standard H-beam options for demanding street and track applications. -
Manley Turbo Tuff I Beam — 950 HP Rated | ARP 2000 Hardware
Premium 4340 chromoly, I-beam design engineered for extreme-duty, high-boost, and race applications. Rated 200 HP higher than the H-beam options — the choice for builds pushing the limits or leaving headroom for future power upgrades. -
Manley Turbo Tuff I Beam w/ ARP 625+ Fasteners — 950 HP Rated | +$470.00
Same Manley Turbo Tuff I Beam upgraded with ARP Custom Age 625+ fasteners — the strongest rod bolt available. Requires additional machining to size the rods to 625+ torque specifications. Contact us to add this option to your order.
What is Core Exchange?
A core exchange means you send us your used engine block (and optionally your crankshaft) in place of purchasing new outright — this reduces your cost. There are three options at checkout:
-
Customer Core with Crank — You send us your block AND crankshaft. Lowest price.
-
Customer Core no Crank — You send us your block only. Mid price.
-
No Exchange — We supply everything. Highest price, no core required.
Core Exchange Policy
- Core blocks must be free from defects. Golden Eagle Mfg. reserves the right to deny any core exchange for any reason.
- Accepted cores: Honda/Acura H22A1 through H22A8 engine blocks with 55MM main journals and main girdle assemblies, and matching 55MM H22 crankshafts.
- Crankshafts must be in pristine condition — no gouges, no scratches, all journals smooth. Denied cranks will be returned at the customer's shipping expense.
- Inbound and return shipping costs for denied cores are not the responsibility of Golden Eagle Mfg.
Additional Notes
- Free shipping within the contiguous 48 U.S. states. All other destinations will be calculated and a $130.00 credit applied.
- Upon ordering, our staff will contact you before funds are fully processed to confirm your build details.
- No warranty is provided on built short blocks. All sales are final — no returns.
